The USAWP 2012 exhibition series closes out in the Coastal Zone with Team USA battling Hungary once more on May 31 at 7pm at UCLA’s Spieker Aquatics Center in Los Angeles, CA. The United States then closes out competition with a match against Croatia on June 1 at 7pm at the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center in Pasadena, CA.

Coastal California Zone Announces the 2012 CCA Zone Junior Olympics Qualification Tournament for 10 & Under Mixed, 12 & Under Girls and Boys, and 14 & Under Girls and Boys will take place in the Upland area from June 1 – June 3, 2012. The tournament will begin on Friday afternoon and conclude on Sunday evening.

Entry fees ($600. per team) and rosters must be received by May 25, 2012. Any rosters submitted or changed after May 25th will be subject to a $50 late fee.

2012 CCA ZONE JO QUALIFIER 16, 18, AND 21 & UNDER BOYS

Late rosters will only be accepted until June 12th. The online entry deadline for this event is 11:59pm on June 1, 2012. Late rosters will be accepted until June 19th. The online entry deadline for this event is 11:59pm on June 8, 2012. IMPORTANT:
ALL PLAYERS INTENDING TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CCA REGIONAL JUNIOR OLYMPIC QUALIFIER MUST VERIFY THEIR AGE VIA USAWP/TC logiQ SECURE SERVER. Click here to begin the 15 minute age verification process. It can take up to seven (7) days to receive age verification results so we urge all athletes to complete the verification right away, to avoid delays as the qualifiers get closer. Clubs will not be able to verify and submit rosters until all athletes’ birth dates have been successfully verified in the USAWP system.

  1. Bracket Rounds Game finish in tie.
    (Tie Breaker: Goals Difference, Goals For, Goals Against)
  2. Advancement Games: Decided by Sudden Death/Golden Goal.
    Overtime periods of 3 minutes until a goal is scored.
  3. Time Outs: (1) one-full and (1) one 30 sec/game.
    (NO extra time out in overtime periods.)

The USA Water Polo TURBO Champions Cup (formerly Speedo Cup) includes twelve 14 & under boys teams and twelve 14 & under girls teams from clubs throughout the nation. To be eligible to participate in this event, athletes must be in 8th grade or younger and age 14 or younger as of August 1, 2011. This event has been held in the Central US for the last eighteen years, in order to promote the growth of water polo. The TURBO Champions Cup is one of our organization’s most prized events.

Coastal California Zone Qualification Event (CCA ZQE) Champions:
U14 City of Commerce (Girls)
U14 Los Angeles Water Polo Club (Boys)

In addition to the CCA ZQE Champs (per USAWP preliminary closing allocations*), U14 Santa Barbara (Girls) and U14 Foothill (Boys) qualify to represent Coastal California Zone at the 2011 TURBO Champions Cup in Bloomington, Indiana, November 4-7, 2011. Click for ZQE finishes.

*Allocations are not determined by CCA Zone, and are solely determined by USAWP, Clubs advance according to CCA ZQE finish order.
